Skills Camp out at Camp High Rocks - 3/14-16

• Jeff Holland - Leader in charge
• Need to get bamboo
• Discussed possibility of building ferris wheel (no decision made)
  • concern that there would be too few to work on project
  • need to purchase 1/4" sisal rope
• teach the following stations
  • toten chip
  • fire building
  • orienteering/compass course
  • pioneering/lashing
  • have some venture activity (hike?)
  • ferris wheel?
  • flag retirement at camp fire

Troop Committee's "Friendly-Courteous-Kind campaign" requirement for advancement

• Committee did not discuss with leaders
• We are not 'behind' this campaign
• Felt that it would be best handled in the "Show Scout spirit" requirement being signed off by the patrol's ASM.
  • The ASM's will stress friendly, courteous and kind

Troop Van update by John McLeod

• Due to insurance policies and costs, it appears that the church will not be able to take ownership of the van
• The troop will probably own the van and insure it
• Danny & the committee are continuing to work on this

Scout Show April 26

• Decided that we would go, but not have a booth
• Take the boys to see what it is

Topics for PLC

• Uniforms
• Troop Communications (are they working?)
• Running a patrol meeting (agenda, seating, etc.)
• Collect permission slips and give to SPL
• Planning upcoming meeting programs (adults can help teach programs)
